Gold Medal Travel Group sales and marketing director Trudy Redfern is leaving the company after seven years.
The move comes as the consolidator announced that Redfern’s role is being split into two.
The head of sales position has been filled by Stena Line national account manager Gillian Downer, while the company is currently looking to fill the position of head of marketing.
Redfern was due to renew her fixed-term contract at the end of this year, but said she has chosen “to explore other opportunities”.
“Iam still employed by the company but am looking at sales and marketing opportunities both within the travel industry and outside,” she said.
Redfern joined the company as national sales manager in 1992 and joined the Gold Medal board in 1994 as sales and marketing director.
Stena Line is seeking an internal replacement for Downer who will begin her new job in two weeks’ time.
