A luxury travel agency has taken the step of organising its first cruise show as it looks to raise awareness within the new-to-cruise market.
Haslemere Travel, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, has invited 10 cruise lines, including Tauck River Cruises, Silversea and Sea Dream Yacht Club, to Old Thorns Golf and Country Hotel on January 28 for its Surrey Cruise Show.
Representatives from selected cruise lines will give 30-minute seminars alongside Haslemere’s team of experts, who will be available to discuss all types of holiday.
Gemma Antrobus, Haslemere’s managing director, said: “If you are new to cruise there will be a number of seminars throughout the day, particularly about where you should start when booking a cruise.
“Do you focus on the brand of ship or an itinerary? Coming to our cruise show will be like going into a department store, it is nice to peruse a number of different products before buying something.”
Haslemere has worked closely with the Travel Trade Network Group (TTNG) to put on the five-hour cruise show.
Antrobus added: “TTNG has been extremely supportive in helping to get this event off the ground and bringing our ideas to fruition.”
Haslemere Travel’s Surrey Cruise Show will take place at Old Thorns Luxury Golf & Spa Hotel, Longmoor Road, Liphook, GU30 7PE from 10-3pm on January 28
