TransIndus bosses have postponed attending this year’s Association of Independent Tour Operators conference in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
Managing director Amrit Singh, who is also an AITO council member, and her husband Harji had been due to fly out to Marrakech with other delegates on Thursday morning.
However, with three of their own customers cheating death in the Taj Mahal Hotel which was at the centre of the attacks which have left more than 130 people dead, they did not take the flight.
An AITO spokesman said: “At times like this customers are the foremost concern. Tour operators don’t want to be away from their offices.”
He added they still hope to attend the conference should circumstances allow.
