Princess Cruises will feature in the first episode of the new series of Channel 5’s ‘Cruising with Jane McDonald’.
The line’s 3,600-passenger Ruby Princess ship will appear in the season opening as it sails along the California coast.
McDonald explores Ruby Princess and its four swimming pools, outdoor cinema, bars and restaurants during the two-day trip to San Francisco.
Tony Roberts, Princess Cruises’ vice-president UK and Europe, said: “Cruising with Jane McDonald has been an outstanding success story and we’re delighted to be featuring in the first episode of the new series.
“It was a pleasure hosting Jane and we hope that the Channel 5 audience enjoys seeing the unique experiences California has on offer from the decks of Ruby Princess.”
During her time onboard, McDonald attends a wedding between two of the passengers, competes in a speed-painting competition and signs up for her most unusual spa treatment – a massage in which her entire body is coated in melted chocolate.
MSC Cruises saw its website traffic spike to three times the norm when Cruising with Jane McDonald featured one of its ships last year.
