NCL UK suspends fuel supplement

NCL UK is suspending its fuel supplement from tomorrow for all voyages departing next year.

Customers within the final payment period for 2009 cruises will have the fuel supplement refunded in the form of on-board credit for all 2009 bookings while those yet to make the final payment will have it revised to take the supplement into account.

The cruise line made the decision to drop the supplements as the cost of oil fell to $44.90 a barrel although it will continue to monitor the price of oil and said it may well reintroduce the surcharge should the price of oil rise above $65 a barrel.
