GW Travel has launched its 2009/10 programme complete with five additional tours.
The long-haul, luxury, rail operator is introducing the new tours, which include the Imperial China and the Yangtse River and the Crimean Express, in all three of the continents it features, Africa, Europe and Asia.
With around 95% of the operator’s 3,000 annual passengers booking through the trade, commercial and product manager Ian Lomas said: “Our concept is very much a cruise on a train.
“We stop in different towns and cities every day with an excursion every day as well as on board speakers.”
Lomas said guest speakers booked for the next programme include travel writer Paul Theroux, BBC journalist John Simpson and Princess Michael of Kent.
“Our concept is to take people into areas where they wouldn’t be comfortable on their own,” Lomas added.
