Premier Holidays is including more properties in its upmarket Prestige brand having seen a 6% growth in sales in the sector.
Head of sales and marketing Debbie Goffin said the new 2009 programme would feature 14 new hotels and resorts, bringing the total to 38.
She said the growth in the upmarket sector means it is bucking the market downturn, adding: “It is good considering the market conditions are on a par at best.
“We have certainly noticed an increase in high-end business since we introduced Prestige in 2007 and, even despite the current economic problems, high revenue bookings continue to grow.
“We’ve therefore decided to increase the distribution of the brochures and agents should have received supplies in the past few days.
“The increased distribution has been based on our records of those agencies performing well for us on high-end business and others who specialise in the luxury end of the market.”
