Celebrity Edge’s dining options revealed at New York showcase

Celebrity Cruises has unveiled details about the dining features onboard new ship Edge.

The vessel, due to launch in November, will have more dining and bar options than any other Celebrity ship.

Details on the 29 onboard venues were announced at an event in New York on Wednesday.

Agents watched events unfold on a live Facebook feed on Celebrity Cruises’ trade page.

Celebrity Edge’s venues include four main dining restaurants, one exclusive restaurant for Suite Class passengers, an exclusive restaurant for AquaClass passengers, seven specialty restaurants and five complimentary dining venues.

The speciality restaurants include Fine Cut Steakhouse, Rooftop Garden Grill, Eden Restaurant, Raw on 5 and Dinner on the Edge.

Fine Cut Steakhouse will give diners premium meat cuts depending on their preference.

Rooftop Garden Grill will give guests the chance to try “backyard barbecue” dishes.

Eden Restaurant, previously revealed by Celebrity Cruises, features an open-air kitchen and dishes are served by performers known as Edenists.

Raw on 5 restaurant blends seafood dishes from St Tropez and New England and offers diners sea views.

Dinner on the Edge will be provided when the Magic Carpet, the ship’s floating platform which moves from deck two to 16, is positioned at the highest level.

Passengers on board will also be able to visit 11 bars and lounges across the 2,900-passenger capacity ship.

Hailing the “exciting time for Celebrity Cruises”, Jo Rzymowska, the line’s vice-president and managing director in UK, Ireland and Asia, said: “The culinary reveal marks a significant milestone in the creation of Celebrity Edge.

“We are known for our incredible culinary offering and have taken inspiration from every corner of the world to create an unparalleled and revolutionary experience for our guests.”

Celebrity Edge will spend its inaugural season sailing seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries before sailing seven and 11-night itineraries in the Mediterranean in 2019.

The ship will be showcased to the trade in Southampton from May 13 to 15 2019.
