Youtravel.com is in talks with potential candidates to replace former non-executive chairman Nigel Jenkins.
The departure of Jenkins in November 2008 was said to be amicable and due to the fact he could not devote enough time to the role since moving to Florida to live. The former First Choice activity division boss had been in the role since June 2007.
Group managing director Graham Nichols said the company hoped to find a candidate able to take a more ‘hands on’ role as the business looked to expand further.
He added: “We talked to Nigel and decided it was best if we went our separate ways as he had less time to network on our behalf . We are now talking to a number of people about the role.”
He is hopeful an appointment will be made in the next few months.
