TROUBLED Gill Airways will axe loss-making Bournemouth services to Glasgow and Edinburgh and Teesside-Paris flights this Saturday.
The Paris flight was an Air France franchise operation.
Gill is in administration after running up losses last year and claimed the cutbacks would ensure the carrier’s long-term future (Travel Weekly March 6).
Air France franchise flights will continue to Paris from Humberside and Newcastle.
The shake-up allows Gill to concentrate on its core domestic network from Newcastle and Aberdeen.
Administrators Arthur Andersen are restructuring Gill with a view to selling the Newcastle-based carrier as a going concern.
