Riviera Travel puts 2019 river cruise programme on sale

Riviera Travel has put its 2019 river cruise programme on sale including a new destination and four extra itineraries.

The news follows the recent announcement of two extra ships, Dylan Thomas and George Eliot for 2019, in addition to new ships for this year, Douro Splendour and Robert Burns. The operator has 13 five star ships.

The rustic village Kinderdijk in the Netherlands has joined the operator’s portfolio for the first time, after being added to one of its most popular itineraries.

The five-day Amsterdam, Kinderdijk & the Dutch Bulbfields cruise has already sold out for this winter, but departures for 2019 start from £699. The price includes return flights from 15 regional airports or on travel on Eurostar, four nights’ full board accommodation in a luxury cabin or suite, and transfers.

The itinerary includes a visit to Kinderdijk’s 18th century windmills and the port of Enkhuizen, Rotterdam and bulbfields of Keukenhof, the world’s largest flower garden, as well as Amsterdam.

Other new winter 2018 itineraries are the Blue Danube River Cruise for Solo Travellers, from £1,299; eight day Burgundy River Rhone & Provence River Cruise for Solo Travellers; and six day Danube’s Imperial Cities & Yuletide Markets River Cruise, from £879.

The new 15-day Budapest to the Black Sea has sold out for this year but is on sale for 2019 from £2,299.
