AAT Kings bids to undercut competitors

AUSTRALIA-based coach tour specialist AAT Kings plans to undercut its competitors when it launches its first dedicated New Zealand programme to the trade at the beginning of November.

It claims it can do this by basing its own vehicles and ground operations in New Zealand for the first time next year, as well as contracting improved hotel rates through group purchasing of rooms.

Director of sales UK and Europe Allister Bruce said: “We will be extremely competitive on pricing while still providing the quality that is expected of AAT Kings. Group buying power will help us to achieve this, along with an improved exchange rate.

“The hard core of the product will be a collection of our best-selling classic holidays, such as the 17-day, two-island New Zealand Explorer escorted tour, at very competitive rates.”

Bruce said the operator will cut up to £200 off the price of these tours which sell at around the £1,200-£1,500 mark.

AAT Kings is featuring an expanded range of departures for these tours, as well as a double-page spread of shorter, modular touring arrangements.
