Resorthoppa to launch aggressive ad campaign

Resorthoppa is launching an aggressive advertising campaign that compares its prices directly with rivals.

Managing director Stephen Rhodes said the price beater campaign was a deliberate ploy to up the ante against competitors in the dynamic packaging sector following its acquisition by the Lowcost Travel Group.

The transfer specialist is targeting growth of 50% this year.

He said: “We are being very aggressive on price and our advertisements show our competitors’ prices. We are making a very bold statement to make sure if you want the cheapest beds and cheapest transfers you come to us. We are looking at growing both businesses [Resorthoppa and].”

Rhodes added that being part of the Lowcost group was enabling it to negotiate better prices. “Being part of the group it does give us much more opportunity to go out to the market and get better prices and negotiate better costs,” he said.

The company is also now offering free amendments or cancellations on existing bookings for travel agents on its website.

Meanwhile, sales and marketing director Paul Cowley has left the business for health reasons. As a result trade sales director Tim Buckman has taken over the sales role across Resorthoppa.
