Amadeus River Cruises announces sixteenth vessel

A sixteenth vessel is to be added to the Amadeus River Cruises fleet next year.

Amadeus Star will follow the launch of the Amadeus Queen in 2018 and Amadeus Provence last year.

The new ship will have 70 deluxe cabins and 12 suites and sail the Danube, Rhine, Main, and Dutch and Belgian waterways from April 2019.

Cabins will feature panoramic windows which lower and extend across the entire cabin front.

Suites will feature walk-on external balconies with seating.

The vessel is to make its maiden voyage on April 12, 2019, for seven nights from Amsterdam with prices leading in at £1,349 per person.

Amadeus River Cruises head of UK sales Natalie O’Mahoney said: “Already Amadeus have one of the most modern fleets in Europe, something that has helped us achieve an outstanding reputation internationally.

“The launch of the Amadeus Star follows a period of successful sustainable growth for Amadeus and represents our commitment to setting new, world-class standards in European river cruising.”
