Future Travel cruise sales up 40%

Instant Cruise Holidays, the specialist cruise division of Future Travel, has announced that its post-Christmas sales are up by 40 % year-on-year.

Instant Cruise Holidays general manager Fay Thompson said she believes it is down to people recognising The Co-Operative Travel brand.

She said: “They (customers) need to feel that the money they spend is in safe hands, and this puts us in a strong position when customers consider where to buy their holiday.

“There’s also been an increase in sales in the luxury end of the cruise market – particularly with Silversea – and with an average booking value of £8,263, it is great to have this business. The highest value booking we’ve made was with Silversea at £21,159 for two people.”

She said the lates market is strong with 57% of sales coming from bookings up to the end of April.
