Avis is offering two days for the price of one at weekends for clients booking a Smart car for rental in Paris or Brussels until January 2 2000, bringing a two-day rental down to £40 in France and £33 in Brussels. The operator has also reduced weekday rental prices, which are discounted 45% in Brussels and 32% in Paris.

Airbus is axing its hotel shuttle linking Heathrow to the leading London Hotels and A1 service from the airport to London Victoria station from November 1. It is also revising its fares to offer free travel for children under 16 on its A2 bus between King’s Cross and Heathrow. Adults pay £7 one way.
