Pandaw is to offer river cruises in India for the first time.
The river cruise specialist has introduced a river itinerary along The Lower Ganges aboard the Orient Pandaw.
The seven-night sailing from Kolkata to Farraka will make its debut on December 23 and offer weekly departures until the end of April 2019. It will run again from July 2019 to April 2020.
The itinerary includes a stop at Kalna to see some of Bengal’s terracotta temples and the Shiva temple; Mayapur to visit the new International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple, the headquarters for the Hare Krishna movement; the battlefield of Plassey; and the Hazarduari Palace.
Founder Paul Strachan said: “We’re delighted to have our own ship positioned in India and are excited to be able to offer our customers the full Pandaw experience in a totally new destination.”
The Orient Pandaw has 30 staterooms on two decks as well as a deck bar, movie and lecture theatre and a spa.
