Silversea agrees deal for new luxury cruise vessel

Silversea has agreed a deal with Fincantieri to build an ultra-luxury cruise ship, due for delivery in November 2021.

The fleet’s 11th vessel, Silver Dawn, will be the sister ship to Silver Muse which launched in April 2017.

The €320million agreement comes just months after the cruise line signed a contract with the ship building company to construct Silver Moon.

Silver Muse is part of the fleet’s Muse-class which Silver Moon, due to be delivered in 2020, and Silver Dawn will also be apart of.

Silversea chairman Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio said: “Silver Dawn will bear the same hallmarks of quality that guests currently enjoy on our six-star ships.

“It was my father’s dream to grow Silversea to at least a 12-ship fleet, today we are one step closer to fulfilling his vision.”
