Fast-growing UK-based wholesale travel company Travellanda is beefing up its sales force amid ambitious growth plans.
The company is aiming for 25% year-on-year growth, which would take 2018 revenues to £76.4 million.
Travellanda has grown to have 40 staff since being founded eight years ago.
Carrie Lo Sze Wai moves from JacTravel and Levin De Melo joins from Global DMC to becomes sales and business development managers.
Lo Sze Wai will be responsible for growing Travellanda’s business in Asia, mostly China, and De Melo will cover India, the Middle East, UK, US, Portugal and Brazil.
Lo Sze Wai and her team will be expected to raise Asia-Pacific sales by 30% from 2017 levels to £15 million and De Melo’s team have been set a 19% increase to £13.3 million in his region.
Head of sales and marketing Denise Atkinson said: “Carrie has a tremendous breadth of expertise and is an exceptionally resourceful and well-organised individual, with some impressive achievements under her belt.
“Levin has been very effective in building relationships with trade customers on behalf of a leading accommodation wholesaler.
“Both have worked for a number of highly-regarded travel companies, so I am confident that they will make an immediate, positive contribution to our sales performance and the way in which we look after our clients.”
