Tourism New Zealand is to host a series of online training events for travel agents.
The New Zealand ‘webinars’ will include a live presentation and question-and-answer session.
Tourism New Zealand hopes the webinars will reach a much larger number of agents than traditional ‘face to face’ training methods.
“We understand agents’ time is precious and we are keen to offer a wide range of training options for them,” said Tourism New Zealand regional manager Europe Gregg Anderson.
He added: “We have used online training very successfully in our German and USA markets and we are really excited about the potential for us here in the UK.”
The first session is scheduled to take place from 11am to 11.30am on Thursday March 19th. Subsequent sessions will include nature and wildlife, Maori culture and luxury.
To take part, agents need broadband internet access and access to a telephone. To register visit the events section on Tourism New Zealand’s trade webiste or email katherineh@tnz.govt.nz.
