BA crash fault ‘could recur’, say experts

US air accident investigators have warned there is a possibility that a fault which caused a British Airways flight to crash-land at Heathrow could recur.

All 152 passengers and crew escaped when the BA Boeing 777 crashed in January 2008. The captain was praised for averting a disaster.

Investigators have called for a component to be redesigned after ice in the engine was found to be the cause of the crash.
