The Ethical Travel Company, which traded as gap year provider Global Xperience and Ethicaltravel.com, has ceased operations.
The administrators have been called in and fellow gap year operator Real Gap has purchased the rights to operate Global Xperience’s programmes or offer alternatives.
Administrators Fisher Partners and Real Gap are contacting people with existing bookings.
The company had an ABTA bond so customers are advised to contact the association with queries.
The Ethical Travel Company, which was based in South Africa, worked with STA Travel.
