Viking Orion, the fifth cruise ship built by Italian firm Fincantieri for Viking Cruises, was delivered to the operator at a shipyard in Ancona last week.
A sixth ship, Viking Jupiter, was floated out just a few weeks ago. Another ten vessels are due to be built for the company between 2019 and 2027.
The 930-passenger Viking Orion joins Viking Star, which was delivered in 2015, together with Viking Sea, Viking Sky and Viking Sun.
Fincantieri has built 84 cruise ships from 1990, while another 43 are currently being designed or built in the group’s yards.
