AIRTOURS and Global Travel Group are close to securing a deal locking the two parties into a long-term commercial agreement.
Sources said Airtours view Global as a more disciplined group of agents than Advantage – whose franchise deal with the operator collapsed last week – and is keen to get closer to its 539 agents. It is not thought Airtours is planning a buyout of the operation.
