Riviera Travel has released its new ‘For Solo Travellers’ programme for 2019 featuring eight additional land tours and two new cruises following increased demand.
New destinations include China, Morocco, Sicily and Croatia.
Two new worldwide solo tours have been added and include the 16-day Grand Tour of China with Yangtze cruise from £3,399. Highlights include visits to the Longshen Rice Terraces, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the Temple of Heaven and the imperial gardens at the Summer Palace in Beijing.
The tour includes a five-star full-board Yangtze River Cruise through the Three Gorges Dam and walking the Great Wall of China.
The six-day Marrakesh & The Atlas Mountains starts from £749 and includes visits to the 15th Century coastal town of Essaouira, the Atlas Mountains and Jardin Majorelle.
Five new European tours have been added, including an eight-day Valencia and the Orange Grove Coast from £1,199, taking in the coastal town of Peñiscola and the Moorish town of Elche. Highlights include a pottery workshop, a paella cooking class and a cruise on the Ebro Delta.
The two new solo cruises are: The eight-day Douro, Porto & Salamanca River Cruise aboard the MS Douro Splendour which sails through the Douro Valley and includes a guided tour of Porto, an excursion to Salamanca with guided tour and flamenco show; and the eight-day Dalmatian Coast Yacht Cruise on MV Corona, with tours of Split and Emperor Diocletian’s monumental palace, and visits to the islands of Hvar and Mljet.
Prices start from £1,699 and £2,499 respectively.
Riviera first introduced solo tours in 2017 and solo cruises in 2018.
The 2019 programme has 28 solo tours compared to 18 in 2018.
