Icelolly staff hope to raise thousands of pounds for the company’s nominated charity by completing a gruelling 23-mile hike across the Pennines next month.
Twenty-three staff will walk across the Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent hills in a bid to raise £2,500 for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.
The team has already collected more than £1,000 ahead of October 6, when the hike takes place.
The organised hike, known as the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, takes around 12 hours to complete.
The team of 23 will include executive members Ross Matthews, chief marketing officer; Stuart Barrett, sales director and Claire Willoughby, operations and strategic partnerships director.
Sharon Addy, Icelolly’s compliance and customer experience manager, said: “We have supported Children’s Heart Surgery Fund for many years, but the team are going the extra mile this October to raise money for this amazing charity.
“We are genuinely proud to support such a worthy cause.”
The Yorkshire-based Children’s Heart Surgery Fund helps children who are undergoing major surgery. It supports patients in the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit at Leeds General Infirmary.
