Singles specialist Just You is to offer land-only trips for the first time and a protected deposit scheme as part of a broader strategy to capture new customers.
The operator has revamped the look and feel of its 2019 Europe & Worldwide brochure, and its logo, after extensive research into the solo travel market.
It has added 11 tours worldwide for 2019, with new destinations including Georgia, in eastern Europe, and Pantelleria, an island in Italy described as the ‘black pearl’ of the Mediterranean, and new tours including Jordan, Costa Rica and India’s Maharaja Express.
The operator has a new strapline, ‘Solo Adventures Together’, and is backing up its focus on the brand with a larger advertising spend.
It is halfway through a two-year strategy to double UK trade sales.
Alastair Campbell, managing director, said: “We want to push the business forward and reach new customers. To do that we need to make more of a splash in the marketplace to remind people we are specialists in the solo market. This sector is one of the fastest-growing and sales are growing fast through the trade.”
Its new ‘Make Your Own Way’ option, also available through sister brand Travelsphere, allows clients to book their own flights and transfers to the first hotel on a tour. Previously all product was offered as flight and land packages.
“It’s just about giving customers choice,” added Campbell.
Also new are protected deposits, which allow clients to cancel and postpone their trip and transfer the deposit for use at a later date at no extra charge. This is similar to a scheme already offered by parent brand G Adventures.
The brochure features 119 solo tours in total, with 522 individual guaranteed departure dates.
