Extra flights are being laid on to Rwanda over Christmas and the new year due to demand.
RwandAir is to add capacity on the Gatwick-Kigali route with a fourth weekly flight.
The additional service to the African country will run between December 14 and January 11.
The extra frequency follows figures which show tourists travelling to Rwanda rose by 21% between 2016 and 2017. British travellers are among the top five nationalities to visit Rwanda.
RwandAir UK country manager, Dennis Rwiliriza, said: “With new hotels, restaurants and attractions, leisure travellers are exploring Rwanda in ever greater numbers so we are pleased to be able to offer even more seats and a greater choice of flights for our customers travelling to Kigali and beyond over the holiday season.
“Adding a fourth weekly flight on Fridays over the Christmas period to our existing three-times a week schedule will enable us to meet the growing interest from travellers to explore and experience the beauty of Rwanda’s natural wonders.”
RwandAir started direct flights between Rwanda and the UK in May 2017 and uses a three-class Airbus A330-300 on the route with a flying time of eight hours and forty minutes.
Economy fares start at £467, rising to £1,506 in business class.
