The Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) is launching a second exclusive brochure for its Specialist Travel Agent (STA) members.
AITO STA panel member Andrew Rowdon said the Special Occasions brochure would be launched in time for this year’s AITO Week in October.
Although the brochure is only being put together now, it is hoped it will prove as popular as last year’s inaugural AITO Wildlife Portfolio Selection brochure.
Speaking at the AITO Specialist Travel Agents conference, Rowdon said: “Half of AITO agents said they used the [Wildlife Portfolio] brochure last year, and that it offered some fantastic extra value offers that were totally exclusive to AITO STAs.
“By choosing a special occasions theme, we can put anything in [the brochure], whether it is a weekend away or a full holiday.
“Some of the offers we’ve got coming in already are fantastic.”
Meanwhile, AITO executive director Kate Kenward said the next AITO STA conference will be held in Majorca in June 2010, although final dates were yet to be confirmed.
