Tropical storm warnings have been issued across a string of Caribbean islands.
The alerts come as Tropical Storm Kirk was forecast to reach the region yesterday (Thursday).
Islands potentially in the path of the storm include Barbados, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, St Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The warnings mean that tropical storm conditions are expected, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said in updated travel advice.
“You should monitor local and international weather updates and follow the advice of local authorities,” the FCO added.
Although in off season, many of the islands are popular with British holidaymakers.
