Jet2holidays is now licensed to carry nearly a million more passengers than last year, new Atol figures published by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) show.
The UK’s second largest Atol holder now has a licence for 3,810,320 passengers, up from 2,936,420 at the same point last year.
Its increase of more than 29% takes it further ahead of Thomas Cook’s Atol licence, for 2,471,042 passengers, having overtaken it in October last year.
Thomas Cook increased its Atol from 2,389,227 to 2,471,042 passengers.
Tui UK retains its place as the largest Atol holder, with a licence to take 5,678,163 passengers, a rise of 291,318 from September 2017.
The CAA released the top 10 list of Atol holders after the latest deadline for renewals passed on October 1.
Expedia (1,178,450), Travel Republic (554,102), Southall Travel (364,500) and Trailfinders (282,741) are also part of the top 10 list.
