Wendy Wu Tours managing director Laurence Hicks left the company on June 30.
The company’s board of directors and Hicks, who joined the company on May 1 2008 on an interim one-year contract, have been unable to agree terms for the “continuance of a relationship” and said they are parting amicably.
Wendy Wu said: “We are deeply saddened by the departure of Laurence who has dramatically, and so publicly, transformed this business over the last 14 months. You can be sure his skills, knowledge, energy and larger-than-life personality will be missed by everyone here.”
Hicks, who is reported to be considering a number of options, said: “I am naturally disappointed to be leaving Wendy Wu Tours.
“However, I feel that I have moved the company to a higher platform and am now ready for whatever new challenge lays before me.”
