Premier Holidays has introduced a range of money-saving options in its latest Faraway brochure to help agents add value.
Customers can choose from extras such as food and beverage credits, free nights, evening cocktails or access to a club room, in destinations including Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
The operator has seen its average spend increase by £200. Consumers are buying extras when booking, and investing in one luxury break, rather than several trips a year.
Premier Holidays head of sales and marketing Debbie Goffin said: “These offers, which are fully commissionable, will help travel agents stand out from the competition and add value for their customers.”
The operator has also introduced new destinations to its Faraway programme including the Cayman Islands, Fiji, and added new private tours in India and China.
South Africa and China are selling well, said Goffin, with sales up 50% and 59% respectively. Bali is also a strong seller
Premier Holidays is seeing a split between last-minute and long-lead bookings. “Half of our bookings are coming eight weeks before departure, but many are coming nine months ahead,” said pricing manager Mark Godfrey. “This shows booking habits are undoubtedly changing, but not everyone is rushing to secure a late deal.”
