Agents strike back by mail


Today a client returned from their holiday to receive a welcome home letter directly from their tour operator, The Magic Travel Group, ie:Thomson Holidays.



The letter invited them to ring for a brochure for their next holiday. But where was the reference to the travel agent who introduced this client to Magic Holidays?



Where did they get the client’s address? By giving away a guide book via apostcard offer form included with their confirmation. We have been told that this process is used becauseoperators don’t trust agentsto pass on freebies.



Sorry to disappoint you Magic, that was not the client’s address the guide book went to – it was one of our staff. We passed on the guide book, together with a welcome home letter -Êfrom us, their preferred travel agent.
