UK air navigation services provider Nats will pay a second interim dividend of £29.5 million to shareholders today.
The pay-out by the public-private partnership covers the year ending March 31, 2019.
Airlines including British Airways and EasyJet, Virgin Atlantic, Tui Airways, Thomas Cook Airlines and Lufthansa have a 42% stake in Nats.
A total of £28.5 million of the dividend is provided by Nats En Route, the company’s economically regulated provider of en route air traffic services.
The remaining £1 million is coming from Nats Services, which provides airport air traffic services and consultancy.
It brings dividends paid by Nats in its current financial year to £59 million, the company said in an announcement to the London stock exchange.
Nats handled 2.6 million flights last year, covering the UK and eastern North Atlantic from its centres at Swanwick in Hampshire and Prestwick in Scotland.
The company, which made a pre-tax profit of £132.8 million in the year to March 31, also provides air traffic services at 13 UK airports, Gibraltar airport and at a number of airports in Spain in a joint venture with Ferrovial.
