DISNEY Cruise Line is considering repositioning one of its two cruise ships in the Mediterranean from 2002.
Disney Cruise Line president Matt Ouimet stressed the current focus was on three and four-day sailings from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas and the company’s private island Castaway Cay, but the Mediterranean was a long-term option it is considering.
“We do not see Disney Magic or Disney Wonder cruising outside the Caribbean for at least two years. The Mediterranean is a possibility,” said Ouimet.
“At the moment we are working on getting the travel trade familiar with the two ships.
Disney Wonder’s inaugural sailing from a dockyard in Italy to Southampton this summer gave the UK trade a glimpse of the ship.
