NCL to introduce e-ticket-only system in December

All Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) travel and cruise documents will be issued online from December 11.

Under the new eDocs system, which will be available from October 12, NCL will email travel agents to let them know their clients’ documents are ready to download. Agents can choose to have the documents sent direct to the clients instead.

The eDocs package will include the cruise ticket, printable electronic luggage tags and, where applicable, airline e-tickets, post-cruise hotel vouchers and pre- or post-cruise transfer vouchers.

To prepare for the change, agents should visit the NCL website before October 7 to update their agency profile.

NCL director of passenger service Sally-Anne Beasley said the eDocs system is part of the cruiseline’s Partnership 2.0 programme, designed to make NCL an easier company to work with.

She said: “The eDocs system offers increased flexibility and choice for our travel partners and guests, in addition to significantly enhancing reliability and earlier delivery of cruise documents.”
