APT appoints new business development manager

Escorted touring and river cruise specialist APT has added to its UK trade support team by appointing a business development manager.

Chris So Woon Yuen, who is currently reservations manager at APT UK, will report into national sales manager Jessica Shelton-Agar in his new role.

He will support agents based in the central region of the UK, covering counties from Bedfordshire to Derbyshire.

So Woon Yuen has more than 10 years’ experience in the travel industry.

Paul Melinis APT’s managing director for UK & Europe, said: “We are delighted to see Chris join our fantastic on-the-road sales team.

“Having worked with APT for over a year now as reservations manager, he brings a wealth of experience with him.

“Chris has been a brilliant asset in our business ,and now he will now be able to support agents on the frontline and share his extensive knowledge and passion of our APT products even further.”

Further changes at APT, include UK trade marketing manager Laura Picton has returned from maternity leave and the company has a new public relations manager Mala Mistry.

Mistry makes the move from Merlin Entertainments, with more than five years’ experience working in PR.
