Crystal Cruises has launched an online training programme on the Association of Cruise Agents’ website.
The training is designed for both new agents and those already selling Crystal, and takes them through all aspects of the product, from dining options to the entertainment and enrichment programme, which includes themed voyages as well as language classes and keyboard lessons.
The programme is part of a “Take a fresh look at Crystal Cruises” campaign launched by UK sales and marketing director Andy Harmer, which is aimed at increasing support for the trade.
As part of the campaign, the cruiseline last month held four roadshows around the UK that were attended by 150 agents.
The six-star cruiseline has two ships, the 1,072-passenger Crystal Serenity and 940-passenger Crystal Symphony.
Meanwhile, Crystal has expanded its collection of special-interest cruises for next year with the addition of a new science and technology-themed voyage in the Caribbean next winter when guest lecturers will be talking about the world’s latest scientific developments.
The cruiseline already has themed cruises covering topics such as wine and food, golf, fashion and style, jazz and big band music. For 2010, there is also a selection of 20th anniversary events hosted by Crystal president Gregg Michel.
