Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has launched a regional flying programme enabling passengers joining its cruises in Venice and Barcelona to fly from Manchester or Edinburgh.
The flights are with Jet2.com for passengers joining its seven- and 14-night cruises from Venice on Norwegian Gem launching in 2010, or its week-long Mediterranean Treasures itineraries from Barcelona on Norwegian Jade.
There is no supplement for the regional flights, which are available alongside traditional Heathrow departures.
The Mediterranean Treasures cruise from Barcelona costs from £649 per person, while the seven-night Venice and the Greek Isles cruise on Norwegian Gem costs from £869 per person. Both prices include flights and transfers.
NCL director of passenger services Sally-Anne Beasley said the regional flights would give travel partners a strong sales tool, allowing them to capitalise on the combined strength of regional flights and popular sailings.
