Advantage Travel Centres completes sales team restructure

ADVANTAGE Travel Centres has restructured its sales and commercial team to give it greater direct contact with members.

The consortium now has a nine-strong on-the-road sales force split into regions across the UK. The line-up was completed with the appointment of Brian Challis who joins from 200 Travel Management, an Advantage member. He will take charge of the eastern counties.

In Scotland, Bill Larcombe has been promoted from sales development manager to the newly created position of national sales manager. Sales negotiator Jo Rix takes over Larcombe’s role, while John Tindale moves from northern sales development manager to divisional sales manager. Linda Owens, with responsibility for the Midlands and Wales and Rita Hunter, covering the northwest and north Wales, both report to Tindale. In the south, sales development manager Peter Small has been promoted to divisional sales manager with new members Richard Fox covering London and the southeast and Peter Bolton covering the southwest.

Advantage commercial director Neil Armorgie said: “Regionalisation of the sales team was the last stage of the restructure. Sales development managers will visit members, providing communication, information and ideas from our members.”
