Silversea Cruises will operate a world cruise, calling at more than 100 destinations, which it says is a world-first in the expedition market.
The 167-day voyage on Sliver Cloud, calling at 107 destinations from Ushuaia, in Argentina, to Tromso, Norway, will depart on January 30 2021.
The itinerary visits six new ports of call for Silversea: Naxos, Folegandros, Nafpaktos, all Greece; Ksamil, Albania; Bejaïa, Algeria; and Fort William, Scotland.
Silversea will also offer a 150-day classic round-the-world cruise in 2021 on Silver Whisper, which will call at 54 ports.
It will depart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on January 7 and will end in New York on June 6.
Sales for the two world cruises will open to the general public in March.
Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, Silversea’s executive chairman, said: “By operating two world cruises in 2021, we are increasing the offering for our guests, pushing boundaries in the world of travel.
“With a passion for sharing the authentic beauty of our planet, we are enabling our guests to discover the world on their own terms.”
Roberto Martinoli, Silversea Cruises’ chief executive, said: “This momentous voyage is the result of 10 years of experience and industry-leading knowledge—qualities which enable us to unlock remarkable travel experiences for our guests and have contributed to our reputation as the industry leader.”
