AWTE in search for new board members

Networking and professional development organisation, the Association of Women Travel Executives, is looking to recruit new board members.

The organisation made the call ahead of planned changes to its governing board in the spring.

“We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic women to join the association as there will be a number of positions available,” the AWTE said.

“This is an exciting time to become part of a pioneering association, making a difference to women in travel, tourism and hospitality.”

Senior women in the travel sector are elected every year at the annual general meeting by full members of the association.

The board meets monthly to review and plan events and activities to maximise the value of AWTE membership.

Membership is open to women whose business or career is predominantly in travel, whether they’re entrepreneurs or in a corporate role.

The AWTE will be exhibiting at the Business Travel Show at Olympia in London on February 20-21.
