MSC Cruises is repeating its cruise-for-£1 offer this month to stimulate bookings for 2010 in the run-up to Christmas.
The offer is for two people sharing a cabin and allows one to book a cruise for £1 when the companion pays the full brochure, cruise-only fare.
Brochure fare prices start from £750 per person cruise-only for a seven-night Caribbean cruise on MSC Poesia from Fort Lauderdale between January and April 2010. Flights are available from MSC for all Mediterranean cruises from £210 per person.
Bookings must be made between November 28 and December 14 2009, for cruises between January and December 2010.
More than 300 departures on cruises in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Northern Europe, the Americas and South And West Africa will be available for £1, ranging from three-night mini-cruises to 11-night voyages.
The offer includes Mediterranean cruises on new ship MSC Magnifica, which will be named in Hamburg in March. Transatlantic crossings, round-trip cruises from Dover and bookings for cabins in MSC’s Yacht Club are excluded.
MSC Cruises UK and Ireland managing director Giulio Libutti said its first cruise-for-£1 promotion last December was very successful, generating a lot of calls and bookings. In a similar promotion in February, the second person cruised for free if their companion paid full brochure price.
This year, for the first time, MSC Cruises has carried more than one million passengers. It expects to end the year with 1,085,000 passengers, up 36% on 2008, and carry 1.2 million in 2010.
