Co-operative Travel considers Kiss Flights tie-up

The Co-operative Travel is considering working with seat-only operator Kiss Flights, which was set up last year by former XL Leisure staff.

Speaking at the Freedom Travel Group conference in Manchester on Sunday, managing director Mike Greenacre said the group was in discussions with Kiss Flights and a decision would be made in a couple of weeks’ time.

He said: “It has lower prices than some alternatives to certain places. This is a very difficult time with the economy, and I know for some people price is the number one priority.

“We have to begin by trying to find a way to have Kiss as a supplier, but make sure our business is as protected as it can be.”

In November last year, the company came under fire for allegedly selling seats in excess of its ATOL licence. Kiss owner Meridian Aviation sold the company to specialist tour operator Flight Options in January.
