Elegant Resorts launches into luxury cruise market

Elegant Resorts has entered the cruise market with the launch of a dedicated luxury cruise brochure.

The operator has featured a couple of cruiselines in its brochures before, but never actively promoted them.

Now it is hoping to cash in on what it says is growing demand for luxury cruises with the new brochure featuring 10 five and six-star cruise lines including Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Azamara Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Yachts of Seabourn and Star Clippers.

It also features Silversea’s traditional cruise ships and its explorer vessel, Prince Albert II, as well as a selection of luxurious yachts available for private charter.

Clients can opt to buy just a cruise, but Elegant Resorts can also tailor-make individual itineraries, adding pre or post-cruise nights at luxury hotels as well as flights and private transfers.

A 10-day Dalmatian coast cruise from Venice on Seabourn Spirit costs from £4,210 per person including flights, water taxi transfers in Venice and three nights’ post-cruise at the city’s Cipriani Hotel.

Elegant Resorts commercial director Alison Scott said the new brochure fills a gap in a market for clients looking for a luxury cruise.

She said: “As with the cruise market in general, the luxury cruise market is growing, yet for those looking for a luxurious cruise experience there is currently no definitive guide.”

She added: “Rather than navigating their way through a vast array of ships and itineraries, each with their own atmosphere and style, clients can turn to our expert team for advice, to ensure that they find the ideal cruise.”

Itineraries featured range from 10-day European cruises to longer voyages in the Caribbean, Far East and Antarctica, as well as round-the-world adventures
