Cosmos Holidays has appointed former Holiday Taxis head of new business Damian McDonough as sales director.
McDonough takes on the newly-created role from February 2010 and will be responsible for the Cosmos mainstream programme for short and long haul, as well as somewhere2stay.com and Avro.
Head of trade sales Gordon McCreadie is leaving the business to take up the role of sales director at Travel 2 in his home town of Glasgow in February.
Cosmos managing director Stuart Jackson said: “With Gordon’s departure, we are taking this opportunity to restructure the sales division. We are sorry to see Gordon go but understand his reasons. I’d like to thank him for his outstanding contribution to the business and wish him every success in his future career.”
