P&O Cruises expands winter programme for 2020-21

P&O Cruises has expanded its winter programme for 2020-21 by launching two seven-night itineraries in Dubai and the Arabian Gulf, and introducing Qatar as a port of call.

The line’s new programme offers alternating seven-night cruises, one heading north and one heading east in the region, on Oceana.

Alex White, P&O Cruises’ vice president of sales and marketing, said: “This will be P&O Cruises’ third season in the Arabian Gulf and from guest feedback we have found that seven-night itineraries are the most popular.

“Typically, in the past it would be seven or 11 nights and there would be opportunity to go longer by combining cruises. Now all the sailings are seven nights.”

General sale for the winter 2020-21 programme opens on Monday (March 18).

New 5,200-passenger ship Iona will sail from Southampton to Spain, Portugal, the Canary Islands and northern Europe in its maiden winter season.

Prices start at £899 for a 14-night cruise or £499 for a seven-night Northern European City Escape.

Aurora will offer a new 65-night itinerary around the Caribbean and South America, with calls at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Montevideo, Uruguay; San Antonio, Chile; and Callao, Peru.

Britannia and Azura will run three no-fly cruises from Southampton, in November 2020 and January and February 2021. The cruises will be either 28 nights or 35 nights.

Arcadia will sail a 99-night World Cruise, featuring two-day stop-offs in Sydney, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Auckland and Singapore.

There are four 12-night cruises to Norway in search of the northern lights available between October 2020 and March 2021 on Aurora and Arcadia.

P&O Cruises is offering a low deposit of 5% on all cruises in the winter 2020-21 programme until April 29. The offer is available with P&O Cruises’ Select Prices and Early Saver Prices. A 10% discount is applicable to past passengers making a Select Price booking before April 29.
