Christina Hunter, product manager, Distant Dreams, recommends The Legian, which costs from £939 for a five-night package.
“This property has a really lovely spa. They are very popular in the Far East and people expect to find these facilities in their hotels now.
“Other hotels which have good spas are The Chedi, The Serai, Bali Hyatt and the Melia Bali.”
Paul Tilling, general manager Asia, Premier Holidays recommends The Chedi in Ubud, which costs from £75 per night, or The Serai in Candidasa, which costs from £43 a room.
“The Chedi is a really lovely five-star hotel in a very peaceful spot overlooking the Agung River Valley and surrounded by rice terraces,” said Tilling.
“The Serai is right on the seafront, the pool is beautiful and the food is very good. Also it is in a good spot for sightseeing.”
Jerry Quinn, managing director, Silverbird recommends the Melia Benoa, which costs from £878 for 10 nights.
“This hotel did very well for us last year when we did some family deals during the school summer holidays,” he said.
“It has a dine-around facility where you pay a set price to eat in a range of restaurants which offer very good value.”
