THE COLOUR came back to the Pale Rider’s cheeks when he rode into town to officially launch a new hostelry in the Wild West town of Swindon. The Clint Eastwood lookalike was offered a welcome drink by Corus hotels’ Madison Inn general manager Gail Downing, before getting down to work. “This hotel sure does offer a warm welcome,” he said in his opening speech. “What’s more, it doesn’t cost a fistful of dollars to stay here.” The hotel, formerly The Country Inn,Swindon, has undergone a huge revamp and is the 21st to join the Corus line.
